Clara the Dog needs a home
Clara was rescued in Houston after Hurricane Harvey and came to Best Friends' Pet Reunion Pavilion at the NRG Arena. Here at the Sanctuary, she is gaining confidence daily and is making great progress in learning to trust people. At Dogtown, she enjoys the company of other dogs and really comes out of her shell with a confident canine friend around. Because she still is shy and fearful with people and can jump fences, she is considered a serious flight risk. Clara will need to find a home with a person or family who can keep her secure and take extra precautions around all doors and other exits. Clara also needs a sturdy collar (she can chew through them) and is unable to walk on leash at the moment. She is currently working on approaching people who earn her trust, and from there she will start building her leash skills. Born in 2015, Clara has a lot of potential to grow and blossom in the right home.
